I worked on it on & off for about 3 months, but finally finished the colored version. I left the background with a two-toned gradient fill. This artwork is my finished version that I have colored. This is a pencil sketch of a face sculpture of an old man. Sculpture was placed in front of a cloth and put it at an angle of how I wanted it to look like on paper. Different drawing pencils were used for the different lightness and darkness of the shading.

Photo-manipulated work using Photoshop CS. Completion time: approx. 6 hours total within 2 days. This was like a "for fun" task for me and it was interesting to put together. This pirate is in search of a treasure which lies within the Treasure Island.

The fun part was converting the weather, which took a while to do. The background is from my own photos I took in Las Vegas of the Treasure Island hotel. Original pics can be found here:

In this image, it is a story about a young lady whose parents were very strict. To prevent their girl from leaving the castle, they lock her up in the tower way up high. Because she is not allowed to go out to see and meet other people, nobody knew who she is. Her only wish is to be free as a bird.

Colored chalk / charcoal drawing of crabs. Three crabs were placed on cloth on table in front of me and I started to sketch it. The crabs were already cooked.. hehe.
